Data Deletion Policy

Automatic Data Deletion
ChatBridge automatically deletes temporary data:
- Long message links: Deleted after 1 hour
- Session data: Deleted after 24 hours
- Magic link tokens: Deleted after 15 minutes or first use
Request Account Deletion
To delete your ChatBridge account and all associated data:
Option 1: Email Request
Send an email to support@chatbridge.net with:
- Subject: "Account Deletion Request"
- Your registered email address
- Confirmation that you want all data deleted
Option 2: From Your Account Page
Use the "Email Support" button on your account page to send a deletion request with your account details pre-filled.
What Gets Deleted
When you request account deletion, we permanently remove:
- Your account record (email, phone, API key hash)
- Usage history and message counts
- Any pending sessions or message data
- Subscription information (Stripe customer link)
What We Cannot Delete
- Stripe records: Payment history is retained by Stripe per their policies
- Delivered messages: Messages already delivered to WhatsApp/SMS are on those platforms
- Legal requirements: Any data required for legal compliance
Deletion Timeline
- We process deletion requests within 48 hours
- You'll receive email confirmation when deletion is complete
- Your subscription will be cancelled if active
After Deletion
Once deleted:
- Your API key will stop working immediately
- You cannot recover your account or data
- You may sign up again with the same email if desired
